993 Carrera 2
Built in Spring 2009 to compete in the UK Porsche Club Championship, to the highest possible standard, this car has had over £40,000 spent to ensure it is the best one in the UK.
The 993 model has only been allowed to race in the UK Porsche Club from 2009, so this is one of the only ones built and even after only 3 events it has dominated the other 2 993's in the races.
The list of items on this car is staggering, they include:
- Based on a 1994 model 993 Carrera 2
- Full welded in safety devices roll cage
- 2 Corbeau seats with TRS 6 point harnesses
- Momo 350m suede wheel
- Carbon door cards
- Rennline customised pedal box with fully adjustable accelerator pedal for correct heel/toe positioning
- Custom floor plates to allow correct positioning of regulation ballast
- Electric triggered cut off system
- Plumbed in 4.5Kg fire extinguisher
All suspension arms and bushes replaced
- Engine rebuild – new piston rings, all heads rebuilt with new guides, seats re-cut and re-ground. All engine work carried out by Project Nine Engineering (ex La Rose Porsche senior technician and one of the best Porsche mechanics in the UK)
Engine is flawless – right on the power limit allowed for Porsche Club and strong, smooth with no leaks or noises
- 2 way fully adjustable JRZ suspension, teamed with Eibach springs (properly paired for correct ratings)
- Braided brake hoses
- Kaaz limited slip differential
- New clutch assembly
New front a rear genuine Porsche brake disks at the start of the season (completed only 3 rounds)
- Front brake cooling ducts
- K&N air filter
- All ABS sensors replaced
- Callipers overhauled
- New wheel bearings
- New front oil cooler - Oil changed last race with fully synthetic miller race oil
- Castrol race brake fluid always bled after each track session
- Fully corner weighted
The list goes on – if it needed replacing, it was done during the build. This car wants for nothing and will give the new owner years of reliable race wins.
This car has only competed in 3 events, setting fastest lap in its first outing at Donington Park, 4th place at Anglesey and a third on its last outing at Brands Hatch.
Genuine reason for very very reluctant sale of this well known and respected car.
Would make the ultimate track car and could be made road legal again.
